KUALA LUMPUR, 6 August 2025 \u2014 Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, YB Dato\u2019 Haji Mohammad Yusof bin Apdal, officiated the soft launch and formal unveiling of the ASEAN Technology Cooperation & Development Summit 2025 at The Exchange 106 in Kuala Lumpur today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hosted by Intrinsic SEA, the ASEAN Technology Cooperation and Development Summit 2025 is a flagship forum co-hosted alongside WE2025: Future in Motion, with a focused lens on ASEAN innovation, investment, and cross-border cooperation. It will be held from 25\u201326 November 2025 at MITEC, Kuala Lumpur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a co-leading platform within WE2025\u2019s “Future Tech & AI” pillar, the summit aims to advance cross-border technology cooperation while supporting the broader WE2025 mission to drive inclusive innovation, sustainable development, and regional economic leadership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two-day event is set to convene over 100 companies, more than 50 global investors, and 2,000 innovators and ecosystem leaders from ASEAN, China, Canada, Australia, the Middle East, Europe, and Japan. Showcasing the region\u2019s most promising advancements, the summit will feature an interactive technology exhibition with over 100 booths highlighting cutting-edge innovations across key sectors. The summit is co-organised in collaboration with leading ecosystem builders such as NCT Group, Tus Cross-Border Innovation, and Jiahe Convention & Exhibitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This strong international participation reinforces Malaysia\u2019s emergence as a regional innovation hub, while offering Malaysian entrepreneurs and innovation-driven enterprises with global potential valuable opportunities to engage with global investors and expand market access.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With over 50,000 expected livestream viewers, the summit will further position Malaysia as a key enabler of ASEAN-wide collaboration in science, technology, and innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It supports MOSTI\u2019s mission to transition Malaysia from a technology user into a global technology developer by 2030, while reinforcing our ASEAN Chairmanship priorities.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also highlighted the need for gender-inclusive innovation ecosystems:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMOSTI recognises that advancing women\u2019s participation in STEM is both an equity and economic imperative. Platforms like WE2025 and this summit play a vital role in closing the gender gap by: (i) increasing STEM exposure for young women and girls, (ii) fostering inclusive workplace cultures, and (iii) broadening access to capital, networks and leadership pathways for women innovators and entrepreneurs.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
