Seri Kembangan, 22 August 2025<\/strong> \u2013 BYD Sime Motors, the official distributor of BYD cars in Malaysia, today marked a triple milestone that reinforces the brand\u2019s commitment to the nation: BYD Malaysia\u2019s plans to establish a CKD (Completely Knocked Down) factory in Malaysia<\/strong> \u2014 a strategic step to make electric mobility more accessible, competitive, and affordable for Malaysian customers. Alongside this, BYD Sime Motors unveiled The New BYD SEAL<\/strong> and, together with Wing Hin Ventures, launched the largest BYD 3S centre<\/strong> in Malaysia at Balakong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the event, BYD Malaysia confirmed plans for a new CKD factory in Tanjung Malim, Perak<\/strong>, spanning 600,000 square meters<\/strong>, with vehicle production expected to begin in 2026<\/strong>. This investment underscores BYD\u2019s long-term strategy to strengthen its presence in Malaysia and broaden the availability of EVs for local customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
