Kelvin embraced the theme <em>\u2018Umami Wildwood\u2019<\/em> with \u201c<strong>Tropical Spice Harmony\u201d<\/strong> and \u201c<strong>Terra Old Fashioned\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kelvin was challenged to create a savory, earthy cocktail highlighting the bourbon&#8217;s deep woody richness. He received four ingredients\u2014Gula Melaka, pandan leaves, orange, and black tea\u2014of which at least one had to be incorporated. Within an hour, he crafted the Terra Old Fashioned, infusing pandan leaves with Penang wild honey, ginger, and soy sauce. He enhanced the drink with his pre-prepared local herbs and spices bitters, blended it with Woodford Reserve Double Oaked, and finished with a slice of pandan leaf as garnish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to Kelvin, talented modern hospitality professionals from various local bars came together to present their unique Old Fashioned creations, in celebration of creativity, artistry, and flavour mastery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Everyone is encouraged to craft their very own \u2018All-Star\u2019 cocktail this Old Fashioned month. This October, consumers can keep their eyes peeled for the upcoming Old Fashioned menuslaunching across partner bars too.
