The Kelantan stop successfully attracted<strong> 10,000 <\/strong>participants, including families and Malaysians of all ages, reflecting growing awareness across communities on the importance of building healthier breakfast habits and maintaining an active lifestyle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">More young Malaysians are recognising the importance of a balanced breakfast in supporting their energy, focus and overall well-being throughout the day. Simple habits like having a balanced breakfast and staying active can make a significant difference in their daily lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Held at the field of Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Kelantan as its fifth stop, the MILO\u00ae Malaysia Breakfast Day 2026 highlighted how youths can play an important role in championing healthier habits and inspiring those around them to start their day with a balanced breakfast. As role models and mentors, they help reinforce the importance of balanced nutrition, active living and overall well-being, encouraging students to adopt healthier routines that can benefit them both in school and throughout their lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Professor Dato&#8217; Dr. Shaiful Bahari Ismail, Campus Director, Health Campus, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) Kelantan said, \u201cWhat has been particularly encouraging throughout the MILO\u00ae Malaysia Breakfast Day journey is seeing Malaysians from different generations come together to embrace healthier lifestyles. With the Kelantan stop taking place on a university campus, it is particularly meaningful to see young Malaysians actively participating in this movement and recognising that simple habits, such as having a nutritious breakfast and staying active, can make a lasting difference to their well-being. The habits formed during young adulthood can shape positive routines that last a lifetime.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With younger generations increasingly navigating busy academic schedules, digital lifestyles and fast-paced routines, maintaining consistent healthy habits can sometimes be a challenge. Research shows that starting the day with a nutritious breakfast plays an important role in supporting energy, focus and overall well-being, especially for students who need to stay prepared for their daily commitments. In this regard, MILO\u00ae Malaysia Breakfast Day aims to encourage practical habits that can be built from a young age and carried into adulthood<a href=\"#_ftn1\" id=\"_ftnref1\"><sup>[1]<\/sup><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>For 13-year-old Mohd Syamil Hakim bin Mohd Sabri<\/strong>, being the first to cross the finishing line at the MILO\u00ae Malaysia Breakfast Day 2026 Kelantan was an unforgettable achievement. \u201cI didn\u2019t do any training this morning. I just had a can of MILO\u00ae before the run and it gave me the energy I needed,\u201d said Syamil, who represented Kelantan in the MSSM Rugby Championship 2025. As an athlete, Syamil understands the importance of proper nutrition before physical activity. \u201cBreakfast is essential because our bodies need energy in the morning to perform throughout the day. For me, breakfast is non-negotiable,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Nadhirah Najwa, 21 <\/strong>and her group of friends from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) Kelantan&#8217;s School of Health Sciences, took part in MILO\u00ae Malaysia Breakfast Day Kelantan 2026 for the first time. The group shared that the event was a meaningful opportunity to take a break from their studies and enjoy a morning activity. \u201cMost mornings, we are rushing for classes. This fun run reminds us of the importance of setting time to start the day with a balanced breakfast and stay active for our well-being,\u201d said Nadhirah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fellow USM student from School of Medical Sciences, <strong>Danish Bin Mohd Ridhwan Mahendran <\/strong>said&nbsp; MILO\u00ae brings back fond childhood memories. Reminiscing about MILO\u00ae, he said, \u201cGrowing up, my parents would always prepare a cup of MILO\u00ae for me before school. It&#8217;s a simple memory that reminds me of their love and inspires me to start the day right.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Yazli Yaakub, 51, <\/strong>a technical and vocational education and training (TVET) instructor, travelled from Putrajaya to join MILO\u00ae Malaysia Breakfast Day Kelantan 2026, his second consecutive year after participating in Putrajaya last year. Proudly garbed in a complete Baju Melayu, he enthused, \u201cIt is&nbsp; important to stay active regardless of age and I always encourage my family to join me.\u201d Yazli believes educators play a crucial role in inspiring the younger generations on healthy living. \u201cI always remind my students never to skip breakfast. Even if it&#8217;s just a cup of MILO\u00ae for breakfast, it gives them the energy and focus they require for their learning and practical sessions. Healthy habits should be cultivated from a young age, which help shape the future of our well-being.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile,<strong> Roziah Binti Ismail<\/strong>, 40, a lecturer at Kolej Matrikulasi Kelantan, understands the demands of student life and the importance of starting the day with a nutritious breakfast. \u201cOur students have packed schedules from morning until late afternoon. Breakfast is more than just a meal &#8211; it provides them the energy and focus they need to learn, stay engaged and remain productive throughout the day,&#8221; she said. Leading by example, Roziah also participated in the run. \u201cIt&#8217;s encouraging to see so many people taking part in programmes like this to remind us that a nutritious breakfast and an active lifestyle are simple habits that can make a lasting difference. And of course, a warm cup of MILO\u00ae is a great way to start the day,&#8221; she added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through this nationwide journey, MILO\u00ae aims to continue raising awareness across different states and generations on the importance of building healthier breakfast habits and maintaining an active lifestyle. By encouraging families, especially the younger generation, to embrace simple daily choices such as enjoying a nutritious breakfast and staying active, MILO\u00ae hopes to inspire healthier habits that can be carried into everyday life. The <strong>Nestl\u00e9 for Healthier Kids (N4HK) programme<\/strong> further supports this effort by promoting greater awareness of healthier choices that can contribute to long-term healthier lifestyles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The nationwide journey will conclude with a grand finale at <strong>Putrajaya on 12 July 2026<\/strong>, bringing together thousands more Malaysians for a final celebration of active living, nutritious breakfast habits and community spirit.
