PETALING JAYA, 25 JULY 2026<\/strong> \u2013 The Malaysian Institute of Estate Agents (MIEA) celebrated the achievements of Malaysia\u2019s leading estate agency professionals at the 18th National Real Estate Awards (NREA) 2026, held at One World Hotel, under the theme Legacy of Excellence<\/em>. The theme paid tribute to the pioneers, visionaries and leaders in estate agency who have shaped Malaysia\u2019s estate agency profession over the years, while reflecting MIEA\u2019s commitment to preserving professionalism, ethics, and service excellence for future generations of practitioners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was graced by Yang Berhormat Liew Chin Tong, Deputy Minister of Finance, who joined industry leaders, practitioners and stakeholders in celebrating excellence within Malaysia\u2019s estate agency, which is an important contributor to the real estate industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/a>This year\u2019s awards attracted 117 submissions across 23 award categories, reflecting the industry\u2019s continued commitment to excellence and the growing importance of professional recognition in raising industry standards. A defining highlight was the overwhelming response to the MIEA Million Dollar Achievers (MMDA) category, which recorded its highest number of submissions to date even though MIEA has introduced two separate MMDA categories this year; there were 34 recipients recognised for achieving professional fees between RM1 million and RM2.999 million, while there were seven recipients recognised for fees exceeding RM3 million. Collectively, this year\u2019s MMDA submissions represented approximately RM78 million in professional fees, a significant increase from approximately RM43.9 million recorded in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHaving spent more than two decades in the estate agency profession, I have witnessed firsthand how our industry has continued to evolve while remaining anchored by the values of professionalism, integrity and trust,\u201d said Mr Kelvin Yip, President of MIEA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis year\u2019s National Real Estate Awards reflect that journey. The strong response we received, together with the record participation in the MIEA Million Dollar Achievers category, demonstrates our profession\u2019s continued commitment to excellence and continuous improvement. We hope the achievements recognised at this event will inspire more practitioners to uphold these values and continue raising the standards of Malaysia\u2019s estate agency profession.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr Ethan Leong, Vice President of MIEA, said the credibility and prestige of the National Real Estate Awards were built upon a rigorous evaluation process that ensured every submission was assessed fairly, consistently and transparently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOver five months, every submission underwent comprehensive audit, independent judging and careful deliberation. The \u201cLegacy of Excellence<\/em>\u201d we celebrated tonight is not defined solely by our winners\u2019 achievements, but by the collective commitment of practitioners across the industry to continuously improve, embrace innovation and uphold the highest standards of professional practice,\u201d said Mr Ethan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event also featured the presentation of the prestigious Real Estate Agent of the Year Award, honouring an individual recognised as a proven role model of the estate agency profession \u2013 not only within his own firm, but also within the circle of the association and in the eyes of his peers in the profession.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NREA 2026 was made possible through the support of premier sponsors including KHK Land, Triterra, Central Spectrum, UOB, PropertyGuru, Monkeys Canopy, and Auto Bavaria, together with supporting legal firms, financial institutions, MIEA State Branches and other contributing organisations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
