Bringing together Malaysian dining, boutique accommodation, wellness and contemporary lifestyle experiences within one eight-storey building, Chinatown 1974 celebrates the cultural character of Petaling Street while introducing a new hospitality experience for today\u2019s generation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The official launch was led by YBhg. Datuk Wira Brian Chow, Chairman of Chinatown 1974 and Founder of iME Entertainment Group Asia, and was attended by distinguished guests from government, corporate and community sectors. Among those present were YB Datuk Seri Johari bin Abdul Ghani, Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) and Member of Parliament for Titiwangsa; Y.A.M.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marking the occasion, the launch ceremony featured a traditional lion dance performance, symbolically ushering in an auspicious new chapter for Chinatown 1974 and officially welcoming guests into the destination for the first time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From breakfast classics to rice, noodles and local favourites, the menu celebrates the heritage flavours Malaysians know and love. Highlights include HUAT n CO. Signature Nasi Lemak, HUAT Roti Tissue with Three Signature Dips, OldSchool Hainanese Chicken Chop, Malacca Chicken Rice Balls and Heritage Nyonya Laksa, among many others. With a dining capacity of 138 guests, HUAT n CO. captures the warmth, energy and everyday social experience of the Malaysian kopitiam, keeping the classics people grew up with while creating new favourites for a new generation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moving up to the First Floor, THIRTY-ONE MANSION \u53c1\u58f9\u516c\u9928 presents a contemporary interpretation of a 1970s Nanyang dim sum and tea house<\/em>, where traditional Cantonese dim sum meets familiar Malaysian flavours. Ingredients and influences such as pandan, satay, curry and Nyonya spices are thoughtfully woven into its creations, giving the traditional tea-house experience a distinctive Nanyang character. Highlights include the Butterfly Pea Satay Glutinous Rice and Pandan Salted Egg Lava Bao, followed by the Pandan Musang King Durian Pancake for a distinctly local take on dessert. At the heart of the experience is its Gongfu Tea ritual, taking guests through the aromas and evolving layers of the tea, from appreciating the leaves and awakening the tea to brewing, pouring and savouring each infusion. Adding to the experience is a live seafood selection, freshly selected from dedicated tanks upon order and prepared for the table.
