The programme aims to make participation in recycling more accessible for residents by bringing collection opportunities closer to their communities and encouraging greater participation in the recovery of eligible PET bottles and aluminium cans for recycling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Need for Action<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to a 2021 article published by the <strong>Malaysia Investment Development Authority (MIDA)<\/strong>, approximately 82.5% of waste generated in Malaysia was disposed of in landfills. In 2026, Coca-Cola Malaysia is expanding the scope. Running from October 2026 to April 2027, the programme will now include aluminium cans alongside PET bottles. By focusing on eight PPR communities, the initiative seeks to overcome accessibility challenges and foster community-driven recycling habits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Leaders Speak on Sustainability<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAs Coca-Cola Malaysia celebrates 90 years in the country, we remain focused on initiatives that create positive change in the communities we serve. Through Recycle Me! 2026, we hope to make participation in recycling more accessible for residents by bringing collection opportunities closer to where they live.
