In the spirit of Deepavali, also known as the Festival of Lights, Watsons Malaysia, the No. 1 O+O health and beauty retailer, has once again drive its commitment to community support through its “Watsons Radiate Diwali Vibes” Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) initiative. This special event was held at SJK (T) Kampung Pandan, bringing together students, teachers, families, and the local community in a day of celebration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deepavali is a festival of immense cultural and religious significance for the Hindu community, symbolizing the triumph of light over darkness, and is a time for family reunions and festivities. Watsons Malaysia, in collaboration with the school, organized a series of activities aimed at honouring this special occasion while fostering community spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking at the event, Caryn Loh, Managing Director of Watsons Malaysia and COO of Health and Beauty Asia, AS Watson Group, emphasized the importance of supporting local communities, “Deepavali is a time for unity, joy, and giving, and we are thrilled to be able to share this moment with the wonderful students, teachers, and families here at SJK (T) Kampung Pandan. At Watsons, we believe in the power of community and the importance of celebrating together while giving back.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The highlights of the event included an opening performance by the students, a traditional Rangoli lighting ceremony, and health and beauty products distribution to 50 families celebrating the festival of lights. The event also featured interactive workshops, including an Ubtan Powder workshop, a Scented Candle DIY session, a Health Talk to students, and a Health Check for parents, teachers, and staffs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Danny Hoh, COO of Watsons Malaysia and the Watsons Sustainability team, were present to support the occasion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
