The three-day exhibition and convention showcased the outstanding environmental projects undertaken by top 10 finalists from 15 participating schools from all over Malaysia. Participants engaged in Toyota\u2019s 8 Steps Problem Solving Methodology, fostering critical thinking and practical problem-solving skills. Judging criteria emphasised originality, clarity, relevance and exhibit creativity. Below is the list of the recognition and awards for TEY2024:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Champion<\/strong>: SMK Choong Hua, Perak<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>1<sup>st<\/sup> Runner Up<\/strong>: SM Sung Siew Sandakan, Sabah<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>2<sup>nd<\/sup> Runner Up<\/strong>: SMK Alor Janggus, Kedah<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Best Presentation<\/strong>: SM Sung Siew Sandakan, Sabah<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Best Exhibition<\/strong>: SMK Alor Janggus, Kedah<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Best Social Media<\/strong>: <a>SMK Choong Hua, Perak<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Most Supportive Teacher<\/strong>: Mr Lee Tack Hooi &amp; Ms Yeak Hwai Keen, SMK Choong Hua, Perak<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s awards, part of a prize pool totalling RM77,000, underscored UMWT\u2019s commitment to incentivising innovation and creativity in environmental conservation among youth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Environmental Stewardship and Achieving Carbon Neutrality by 2050<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since its inception in 2001, the Toyota Eco Youth program has evolved from a local initiative to a national-level program, involving almost 600 schools and more than 300,000 students nationwide. The program is part of UMWT\u2019s corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts, underscoring UMWT\u2019s mission to empower youth to \u201cMove Your World\u201d by actively addressing ecological challenges in the communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Toyota Eco Youth program is not only aligned with Toyota\u2019s Environmental Challenge 2050 but is also a crucial step in cultivating a new generation of environmental stewards which also contributes to our goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.
