The Japan Foundation Kuala Lumpur (JFKL) is delighted to present \u201cSuzuki Konomi and MYTH & ROID\u2019s Special Live Performance\u201d, happening this 22nd<\/sup> December 2024. Co-organized by Comic Fiesta and the Embassy of Japan in Malaysia, this highly anticipated event will see Suzuki Konomi and KIHOW (MYTH & ROID) return to the Comic Fiesta stage as the closing acts! Their previous performances; (Suzuki Konomi in 2022) and (MYTH & ROID in 2017) were met with resounding enthusiasm and fully-packed audiences. This year, they are set to captivate fans once more with iconic anime songs from \u201cRe:ZERO – Starting Life in Another World -\u201d, \u201cMade in Abyss\u201d, and other beloved titles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This special performance highlights the magic of anime music, bringing fans and newcomers together to experience the energy and emotion of Japanese pop culture. As one of Southeast Asia\u2019s largest anime events, Comic Fiesta provides the perfect stage to showcase the talents of Suzuki Konomi and MYTH & ROID while celebrating the shared love for Japanese culture between Malaysia and Japan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Profile of Suzuki Konomi<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Born on November 5, 1996 in Osaka Prefecture, Japan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2011, she won the Grand Prix at the 5th All Japan Animation Song Grand Prix Final, and made her debut at the age of 15 with \u201cCHOIR JAIL\u201d the following year in 2012.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She has sung many TV anime theme songs, including \u201cThis game\u201d, the OP theme of the TV anime \u201cNo Game, No Life\u201d, and \u201cRedo\u201d, the OP theme of the TV anime \u201cRe:ZERO – Starting Life in Another World -\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2022, XAI and Konomi Suzuki formed the loud rock unit \u201cShe is Legend\u201d, which was created in the dramatic RPG \u201cHeaven Burns Red\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2023, they will tour Asia for the first time in 4 years in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Seoul, and Shanghai. In October of the same year, they released \u201cGanbatte to Yell Out Tabi\u201d, the ED theme for the TV animation \u201cBULLBUSTER\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She was in charge of the ED theme of the TV anime \u201cIshura\u201d and the “Re: Life in a Different World from Zero Witch’s Re:surrection” theme song called \u201cResurrection\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also she has been singing the OP theme song of “Re:ZERO – Starting Life in Another World – Witch\u2019s Re:surrection\u201d from Season 3 called “Reweave”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/a>MYTH & ROID is a Japanese artist boasting a full-scale international sound with sharp, catchy melodies and commanding vocal performances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since their major debut in 2015, MYTH & ROID have performed the theme songs for several hit anime series and accumulated over 150 million views on their music videos and related contents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the theme of \u201cExtremes of Emotion\u201d, their music and visuals break through any cultural or generational boundaries with a universal appeal, earning international praise and enabling live appearances in over 20 countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2016, their 3rd single \u201cSTYX HELIX\u201d and 4th single \u201cParadisus-Paradoxum\u201d consecutively reached the number 1 position on the iTunes overall top songs chart in Japan. Furthermore, the music video for their 10th single \u201cTIT FOR TAT\u201d amassed over 5 million views in just the first year after it\u2019s release in 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2020 saw the release of MYTH & ROID\u2019s 1st digital album, \u201cFuture is Mine\u201d, released exclusively on streaming and digital distribution services. The album reached the number 1 position on the iTunes top anime album chart in Norway, as well as ranking in the top 10 in other countries such as New Zealand, Macao, United Kingdom and Italy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The grouping of the words “Myth” and “Android” is reminiscent of the past, while simultaneously calling to the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Comic Fiesta is one of Southeast-Asia\u2019s largest, and longest-running convention event that focuses on animation, comics and games (ACG).
