The telco boasts a 97% 4G coverage and mobile coverage area of 106,366 km\u00b2 in Malaysia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CelcomDigi has been awarded the title of Malaysia\u2019s Best Mobile Coverage network by Ookla, highlighting the mobile network operator\u2019s exceptional performance over the past year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This accolade is based on Ookla\u2019s Speedtest report<\/a> for Malaysia in the first and second quarters of 2024 (Q1-Q2 2024), which evaluates the extent of a telco\u2019s network coverage and service quality. CelcomDigi emerged at the top of the Best Mobile Coverage category with a Coverage Score of 30.73, according to CelcomDigi<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The report noted that CelcomDigi\u2019s 4G network covers 97% of populated areas nationwide, with nearly 249 million scans conducted on over 303,000 devices, and a verified coverage area of 106,366 km\u00b2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maxis holds second place with a Coverage Score of 27.18% and a verified coverage area of 94,241 km\u00b2. Unifi Mobile has a Coverage Score of 18.03% and a verified coverage area of 63,156 km\u00b2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Malaysia encompasses a total land area of 330,803 km\u00b2, spanning both Peninsular Malaysia and East Malaysia, which includes areas that are uninhabited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CelcomDigi\u2019s CEO, Datuk Idham Nawawi, highlighted the company\u2019s commitment to customer excellence and continuous improvement in delivering a top-tier network experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He emphasised their efforts to build Malaysia\u2019s leading digital network, offering seamless 4G and 5G services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CelcomDigi also announced plans to modernise 75% of its network by the end of 2024, making it the largest and most advanced digital network in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
