An international exhibition blending art, history, and hands-on experiences — with weekend workshops, live art, and creative marketplaces at The Linc KL.
Lai Lai Art Gallery presents Kita Orang Art Exhibition 2025: Blue & White 400, a global art showcase now opens at The Linc Kuala Lumpur. This landmark exhibition features 400 artists from over 20 countries, their participation inspired by — and in celebration of — the 400th anniversary of the Wanli Shipwreck, a Portuguese vessel that sank off the coast of Terengganu carrying blue-and-white porcelain from Jingdezhen, China.

“The story of the Wanli Shipwreck connects Malaysia to a rich web of cultural exchange across centuries,” said Alice Chang, internationally renowned artist and founder of Lai Lai Art Gallery. “Bringing together 400 artists symbolises that same spirit of connection. Through the universal language of blue and white, we hope to bridge people, cultures, and time.”
Curated by Calvin Chua, Chairman of the Malaysian Watercolour Society, Zaki Hadri, President of Angkatan Pelukis Se-Malaysia (APS), and Alice Chang, the exhibition presents paintings, sculptures, and mixed-media installations that interpret the theme of “Blue & White” through diverse cultural lenses. Recognised under the UNESCO Silk Roads Programme, the Wanli Shipwreck stands as a testament to centuries of trade and artistic influence between East and West — themes that the exhibition reimagines in contemporary form.

Beyond the artworks, Kita Orang Art Exhibition 2025 transforms The Linc KL into a vibrant community space with weekend art workshops, live demonstrations, storytelling sessions, and interactive activities designed for families, students, and art enthusiasts. Visitors can also explore the Kita Orang Creative Marketplace, featuring handcrafted art pieces, wearable designs, artisanal candles, and local crafts from Malaysian creatives.
“Kita Orang means ‘We, the People,’” added Alice. “This exhibition isn’t just about showcasing art — it’s about creating opportunities for connection, curiosity, and collaboration through creativity.”
Kita Orang Art Exhibition 2025: Blue & White 400 runs from now to 20 October 2025 at The Linc Kuala Lumpur. Admission is free, with activities held every weekend.
