KUALA LUMPUR, 3 NOVEMBER 2026 – Huawei Malaysia has officially launched the HUAWEI WATCH 6 Series alongside the HUAWEI FreeBuds SE 5 Max, introducing its latest innovations across smart wearables and personal audio. Building on Huawei’s position as the world’s No.1 wearable brand, the HUAWEI WATCH 6 Series arrives as a Next-Gen Health Intelligence Smartwatch, combining premium craftsmanship, advanced health monitoring and smarter connected experiences in its latest flagship wearable.

While the HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Series places greater emphasis on advanced sports performance and long-lasting battery life, the HUAWEI WATCH 6 Series takes a more all-round intelligent approach, with a stronger focus on proactive health intelligence, independent connectivity and smarter everyday interactions.

Premium Craftsmanship Meets Intelligent Aesthetics

Available in the HUAWEI WATCH 6 and HUAWEI WATCH 6 Pro, the latest generation places greater emphasis on premium materials, comfort and everyday wearability.

The HUAWEI WATCH 6 Pro elevates the experience with premium materials including titanium alloy and nano-tech ceramic, while the HUAWEI WATCH 6 features a lighter design complemented by Huawei’s EasyCross strap for a more comfortable fit. Across the series, spherical sapphire glass enhances durability and clarity, with display brightness reaching up to 3,500 nits on the Pro models.

Smarter and More Proactive Health Intelligence

Health remains at the core of the HUAWEI WATCH 6 Series, led by the upgraded X-TAP, featuring a 20-level tactile sensor and 12-channel PPG sensor for more comprehensive health sensing.

The HUAWEI WATCH 6 Series arrives at a time when greater awareness around hypertension is increasingly important in Malaysia. According to the National Health and Morbidity Survey (NHMS) 2023[1], 29.2% of Malaysian adults, or nearly one in three, are living with hypertension, yet 40.7% of hypertensive adults are unaware of their condition. More notably, the highest proportion of undiagnosed individuals was found among adults aged 18 to 39, highlighting an awareness gap even among younger Malaysians.

To help address this gap in awareness, the HUAWEI Watch 6 Series introduces both the Hypertension Risk Study and Diabetes Risk Study, making it the first smartwatch in Malaysia to support both health risk studies. Further strengthening this initiative, Huawei Malaysia is collaborating with Sunway University on the Hypertension Risk Study, which aims to validate Huawei’s wearable technologies for hypertension risk screening in real-world settings. The study is co-led by Prof. Emeritus Datin Dr. Chia Yook Chin and Dr. Say Yee How, who serves as co-principal investigators.

By bringing proactive risk screening into a device worn throughout the day, the series aims to encourage users to pay closer attention to changes in their health and better understand when further medical assessment may be needed.

Powered by X-TAP, the upgraded Health Glance enables users to access a comprehensive health overview in just 60 seconds with a single tap. Covering 13 health metrics  basic health, cardiovascular health, endocrine health and respiratory health. This is complemented by features including Morning Briefing, Physical Readiness Score and Health Analysis, helping users gain a clearer understanding of their daily wellbeing.

Greater Independence Beyond the Smartphone

The HUAWEI WATCH 6 Series is designed to give users greater freedom throughout the day with built-in eSIM connectivity, allowing them to make and receive calls directly from the watch even when their smartphone is not within reach. It also supports Dual-Phone Connection, giving users the flexibility to stay connected across two smartphones for a more seamless everyday experience.

The smartwatch also supports independent navigation through Petal Maps, music and audiobooks, while enhanced safety features provide additional reassurance during everyday activities and outdoor adventures.

More Intelligent Everyday Interactions

Everyday control is made more intuitive through new gesture interactions including Quick Flip, Pinch  and Slide, allowing users to manage selected functions directly from the watch.

The series also introduces Celia assistant for added convenience, while support for connectivity with two smartphones gives users greater flexibility across their connected devices.

Intelligent Workout for Smarter Training

For fitness enthusiasts and outdoor explorers, the HUAWEI WATCH 6 Series supports more than 100 sports modes, covering everyday fitness and professional-level activities including trail running, golf and freediving up to 40 metres.

The series also introduces AI Workout Analysis, which interprets users’ workout data and provides more meaningful insights into their performance and training. On the HUAWEI WATCH 6 Pro, the Expedition App further supports outdoor exploration with features including route planning, offline maps, waypoint marking and return navigation.

Flexible Battery Life for Everyday Use

Designed to keep pace with different lifestyles, the HUAWEI WATCH 6 Series features a flexible battery experience that allows users to balance smarter functionality with longer usage.

Depending on usage mode, the 42 mm models can last up to seven days, while the 46 mm models offer up to 11 days of battery life, giving users greater flexibility between charges.

HUAWEI FreeBuds SE 5 Max Brings More Power to Everyday Listening

Joining the HUAWEI WATCH 6 Series is the new HUAWEI FreeBuds SE 5 Max, priced at RM159 and designed for everyday listening with up to 14 days of battery life,  delivering longer-lasting and more versatile listening for everyday use.
