Approximately 10,000 participants gathered bright and early at Padang MBK 1, Kuantan, for the vibrant MILO® Malaysia Breakfast Day 2026 celebration, which coincided with the Father’s Day weekend. As the fourth stop, the event underscored the importance of starting the day with a nutritious breakfast while embracing an active lifestyle, creating meaningful moments for families and the community to connect and celebrate together.
In today’s fast-paced and increasingly digital lifestyle, many families face challenges in maintaining consistent routines such as eating a proper breakfast and engaging in regular physical activity. In view of this, the MILO® Malaysia Breakfast Day 2026 serves as a community platform that connects families, with fathers often playing a key role as household role models to facilitate family togetherness through movement, outdoor engagement and shared healthy habits.

A key highlight of the event was its strong focus on family bonding, as fathers and children participated side by side in activities that encouraged healthier routines, reduced sedentary behaviour and created meaningful shared experiences during the Father’s Day weekend.
According to Puan Haslinda Binti Hassan, Director of the Corporate Communications Department, Kuantan City Council, “Daily habits such as enjoying a healthy and balanced breakfast can have a significant impact in providing sustained energy, improving concentration and maintaining overall well-being, especially among children. Father’s Day serves as a meaningful reminder that fathers also play an important role in shaping healthy lifestyle habits within families and the wider community.”
A Father’s Day to Remember Across Four GenerationsEn. Hisham Ab Rahman, 60 and Marilyn Yusoff, 57, attended MILO® Malaysia Breakfast Day 2026 Pahang alongside their children and grandchildren, who travelled from Putrajaya and Cyberjaya to celebrate Father’s Day together as a family. “This is our first time joining MILO® Malaysia Breakfast Day Pahang as a family and it is made even more meaningful because our children travelled so far to be here for the run in Kuantan where we reside. As a father and grandfather, there is no better gift than having the whole family together to celebrate Father’s Day, while staying active and creating memories across four generations,” said Hisham.
Marilyn also shared that healthy breakfast habits have always been a family value passed down from one generation to the next. “I grew up drinking MILO® and now my children and grandchildren start their day with MILO® too. A good breakfast is definitely important to give children the energy and focus they need throughout the day. It is heartwarming to see the same healthy habits continue across generations and MILO® Malaysia Breakfast Day 2026 gave us the perfect opportunity to celebrate that together as a family.”
The event kicked off with a lively 3-kilometre fun run, as fathers and children ran side by side in a joyful Father’s Day weekend atmosphere. This was followed by a morning filled with interactive activity zones, stage games, fitness challenges and family-friendly experiences, all designed to encourage movement, bonding and meaningful shared moments in a fun and inclusive environment.
A Father Leading the Way to a Healthier Lifestyle
Lee Zhi Yong, 42, originally from Kuala Lumpur and now based in Kuantan, celebrated Father’s Day by joining the MILO® Malaysia Breakfast Day Pahang run with his father. This marks the family’s third participation in the event. Lee said, “I invited my dad to join because with our busy schedules, it’s not often we get to spend time like this together. Weekdays are usually hectic, so we try to make weekends meaningful by having breakfast together and checking in on one another. It helps us stay close despite our routines.”
Lee’s father, Tou Sim Ming, 75, added that the experience made their bond even more meaningful. “I have my own routine of morning walks, but doing this with my son makes it special. MILO® Malaysia Breakfast Day 2026 is a great initiative that promotes an active lifestyle and reminds us of the importance of starting the day with a nutritious breakfast for lasting energy and well-being.”
First-Time Runners, Lifetime Memories: Friends Who Inspire Each Other
Afiq Nublanzaki, 21, a student from Universiti Islam Antarabangsa (UIA) Kuantan, attended MILO® Malaysia Breakfast Day Pahang alongside a group of his university friends as first-time participants. He shared, “The MILO® Malaysia Breakfast Day 2026 event encourages us to start the day right because breakfast is the most important meal of the day. We hope more young people like us will be inspired to recognise the importance of beginning each day with a nutritious breakfast. It’s also great that we can motivate one another to lead an active lifestyle. Whatever breakfast we may be enjoying, a cup of MILO® is definitely a must!”
The event also featured the Nestlé for Healthier Kids (N4HK) programme, which added an educational touch to the celebration by promoting healthier eating habits among children and families. Through engaging and interactive activities, participants were encouraged to better understand balanced nutrition and make more informed food choices as part of their daily routines.
Throughout the morning, the grounds were filled with laughter and energy as families actively engaged in various on-ground activities, including interactive booths, fitness sessions and Zumba, with attractive prizes adding excitement to the overall celebration. It became a vibrant Father’s Day weekend community gathering, where families of all backgrounds came together to enjoy a healthier, more active morning filled with connection and togetherness.
Following Sabah, Terengganu, Sarawak and Kuantan, MILO® Malaysia Breakfast Day 2026 will continue its nationwide journey to Kelantan on 27 June 2026 before concluding with a grand finale in Putrajaya on 12 July 2026.
