Algorithmic Organisms 2.0 Officially Opens as Malaysia’s First-of-its-Kind Immersive Audiovisual Art Experience

Kuala Lumpur – A new chapter in Malaysia’s contemporary arts landscape begins with the official opening of Algorithmic Organisms 2.0, Malaysia’s first-of-its-kind immersive audiovisual art experience. Blending artificial intelligence, generative visuals, immersive sound and spatial storytelling, the exhibition invites audiences to experience art as a living, evolving environment where technology becomes a medium for creativity and imagination.

Organised by Jazzy Group of Companies, presented by MAISEAT, supported by the National Art Gallery of Malaysia (Balai Seni Negara) and hosted at The Grey Box, GMBB Kuala Lumpur as the Official Venue, the exhibition officially opens to the public from 4 to 19 July 2026. Tickets are available via MAISEAT, Klook and CloudJoi. The organisers also extend their sincere appreciation to the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Kuala Lumpur for its valued support of the project.

The official opening ceremony welcomed representatives from the arts and creative industries, media, strategic partners, cultural institutions, invited guests and members of the diplomatic community, gathering to celebrate the launch of this landmark exhibition.

In her opening remarks, Joanne Goh, Founder and CEO of Jazzy Group of Companies, described Algorithmic Organisms 2.0 as an invitation to experience art through a new lens.

“More than a traditional exhibition, it invites audiences into a living audiovisual environment where AIgenerated imagery, immersive sound, and digital lifeforms continuously evolve in real time. It challenges the way we experience art, not as passive observers, but as participants within the work itself.”

She added that the exhibition reflects Jazzy Group’s ongoing commitment to bringing world-class creative experiences to Malaysia while encouraging meaningful dialogue between art, technology and culture.

A highlight of the opening was the presence of internationally acclaimed Dutch audiovisual artist and Creative Director 0010×0010 (Ray Tijssen), who joined guests in unveiling the exhibition and sharing the creative vision behind the project.

During the ceremony, Ray introduced the curatorial concept of Algorithmic Organisms 2.0, offering insights into the artistic direction, the relationship between technology and creativity, and the immersive journey awaiting visitors. Rather than placing technology at the centre of attention, the exhibition explores how it can become a medium for emotion, imagination and artistic expression.

The ceremony continued with a ribbon-cutting by Joanne Goh, Ray Tijssen and representatives from the exhibition’s presenting partners and supporting organisations, officially marking the opening of Algorithmic Organisms 2.0.

Guests were then invited on a guided walkthrough led by Ray Tijssen, who shared the stories and concepts behind the key installations while explaining how AI, immersive sound and generative visual systems converge to create an ever-evolving audiovisual landscape. The walkthrough offered visitors a deeper appreciation of the exhibition’s creative philosophy and the experience that unfolds throughout the space.

The celebration continued into the evening with an exclusive cocktail reception attended by partners, media, artists, creatives and invited guests. Live DJ performances, synchronised audiovisual projections and immersive sound and light experiences transformed the exhibition into a vibrant gathering where art, music and technology came together in a shared celebration of creativity.

Running from 4 to 19 July 2026 at The Grey Box, GMBB Kuala Lumpur, Algorithmic Organisms 2.0 invites visitors into a world where AI-generated visuals, immersive soundscapes and digital lifeforms continuously evolve in real time. More than an exhibition, it is a sensory journey that encourages audiences to slow down, observe, reflect and immerse themselves in an environment where art is constantly alive.

To further extend the conversation beyond the exhibition, Ray Tijssen will also present “Machine Vision & Human Expression: An Interactive Masterclass with 0010×0010” on 4 July 2026 (Saturday), from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at the National Art Gallery of Malaysia (Balai Seni Negara), Kuala Lumpur. Open to artists, designers, students, creative practitioners and members of the public, the session offers a rare opportunity to engage directly with the internationally acclaimed artist and explore the intersection of art, technology and contemporary creative practice. Registration is now open with an administrative fee of RM25, and seats are limited.
