Shining the Spotlight on Malaysia’s Livestreaming Stars
The Gala celebrated not only individual creators, but also their agencies and community users, who collectively foster inclusive and welcoming communities for all to build connections, explore new trends and discover the latest happenings around them.
The Gala kicked off with live performances by The Funky Divas, black_5572 and Angelcya, who brought their unique voices and talents to the stage. Winners were determined after a month-long in-app ranking event in July, where creators and their teams competed for the top spots on the leaderboard. The winners across multiple categories were honoured during the Gala’s award ceremony, with all the winners in each category receiving an award on stage:

Beyond livestreaming, Bigo Live Malaysia recently partnered with local non-governmental organisation (NGO), Kechara Soup Kitchen (KSK), for the community-driven “Rise & Raise” fundraising initiative. Led by 20 Bigo Live creators and supported by Bigo Live employees, the initiative raised RM10,000 to support underserved communities. The on-ground outreach also included preparing and distributing hot “Buka Puasa” meals across seven locations in Kuala Lumpur and visiting the Medan Tuanku Homeless Centre to bring comfort and festive cheer to vulnerable families and those in need.
