Durability has always been at the core of the X Series, with each generation raising the bar in protection and reliability. The HONOR X9e Pro takes this further with a new level of HONOR Ultra-Bounce Anti-Drop Technology 4.0, inspired by the Halo safety system used to protect Formula 1 drivers.
Its advanced impact-management architecture combines arch-shaped structures, high-strength metal reinforcement and full-area adhesive bonding to help absorb and redirect impact away from critical components such as the display and mainboard. A shear-resistant PUR adhesive offers approximately 10 times greater shear resistance than conventional backing adhesive, further helps secure the screen during drops while distributing impact forces across a wider area.
With this technology the HONOR X9e Pro can withstand drops of up to 3 meters and helps reduce the risk of screen damage by up to 82%, earning SGS 5-Star Certification for Drop Resistance in Harsh Conditions.
The HONOR X9e Pro’s durability was put to the test during a recent media briefing where the device underwent a series of demanding durability challenges to showcase its ability to withstand high impact forces – from hammering nails into wood, withstanding the impact of a metal ball launched from a slingshot, to being fired at directly by and air gun*** under controlled conditions.

Taking protection beyond drops and impacts, the HONOR X9e Pro delivers industry’s highest water resistance level with IP68, IP69 and IP69K rating. The device features a submarine-inspired multi-compartment architecture designed to help protect its internal components. The display, middle frame and back cover form separate sealed compartments, while key openings including the buttons, speakers, USB-C port and SIM tray are independently sealed to create multiple layers of water protection.

New AI Features
The HONOR X9e Pro introduces a suite of AI-powered imaging features designed to enhance everyday photography and creative expression. The AI Zoom Enhancement helps recover detail in distant subjects, while AI Night Enhancement helps retain image details in low-light conditions. AI Enhanced Portrait further refines people-focused shots for more polished portrait images.
