KUALA LUMPUR, 29 SEPTEMBER 2026 – Huawei Malaysia had officially unveiled the HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Series, bringing its latest smartwatches for everyday wellness, training, and outdoor exploration to Malaysian consumers. The line-up comprises the HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 in 46mm and 41mm sizes, alongside the HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Pro, with prices starting from RM1,199.
The HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Series introduces the Diabetes Risk Study, a research initiative led by Universiti Malaya, alongside the new Physical Readiness Score, improved route tracking, expanded cycling and golf features and a brighter display. Under light-use conditions, the GT 7 Pro and GT 7 46mm offer up to 21 days of battery life, while the GT 7 41mm offers up to 14 days.
Designed for movement and everyday wear
The HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 is available in two sizes, with the 46mm model offered in Yellow, Blue and Black, while the 41mm model comes in Pink, Blue, White and Grey. The HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Pro is available in Yellow, Green and Black. The Pro model pairs a nano-tech ceramic bezel with an aerospace-grade titanium alloy frame and sapphire glass, combining premium craftsmanship with durability for both everyday wear and outdoor activities. Built for confidence in different environments, the WATCH GT 7 Series features triple protection with super-hard metal coating, IP69 dust resistance and 5 ATM water resistance.
Adding to the experience is the new HUAWEI EasyCross Strap, featuring a tuck-under design that keeps the strap secure while maintaining a clean and comfortable fit. Across the series, the AMOLED display reaches up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness to improve visibility outdoors.
Health insights that support daily decisions
A key addition for Malaysia is the HUAWEI-exclusive Diabetes Risk Study, a research initiative led by Universiti Malaya. It uses pulse-wave signals collected by the watch’s PPG sensor together with information such as age, gender, height and weight to assess potential diabetes risk after three to 14 days of continuous wear. The assessment is intended to raise awareness and encourage users to seek appropriate professional advice where needed; it is not a diabetes diagnosis.
“Sometimes, prevention starts with simply knowing your risk,” said Dr Mohd Izzar Anwari bin Abdul Khani. “Technology cannot replace a doctor, and a smartwatch cannot diagnose diabetes. What it can do, however, is encourage us to pay closer attention to our health. The HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Series can support greater awareness of our wellbeing and help us better understand when it may be time to take action. It is not a replacement for medical care, but it can be part of a broader conversation around health awareness and prevention.”
The series also offers CE- and MDA-certified Pulse Wave Arrhythmia Analysis and the Huawei-first Physical Readiness Score, which combines recovery, HRV, sleep, activity and emotional wellbeing into a daily assessment. The GT 7 Pro adds CE- and MDA-certified ECG and Arterial Stiffness Assessment. Morning briefings, Emotional Wellbeing 2.0, sleep and women’s health tracking, Huawei Health app wellness tools, and on-wrist Health Community provide further support for users and their families.
From everyday workouts to outdoor adventures
Designed for outdoor enthusiasts, the HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Series delivers enhanced AI-XDR Positioning for more precise and reliable route tracking, even in challenging environments where GPS signals may be limited. By combining GNSS with multiple onboard sensors and advanced positioning algorithms, the smartwatch can maintain tracking continuity through areas such as tunnels, dense urban surroundings and other signal-blocked environments. Smart Route Reconstruction further helps estimate and restore sections of a route when GPS coverage is interrupted, giving users a more complete view of their outdoor activities.
Built for an active lifestyle, the HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Series introduces a wider range of sports experiences, combining professional-grade data with intelligent tracking to support everyday movement and more focused training.
Drawing from his active lifestyle, YB Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman shared during the launch how having a better understanding of performance and training data can help individuals make more informed decisions about their workouts and progress over time.
For trail running and hiking, the HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Series provides advanced trail metrics alongside Segment Navigation, Route Back, offline maps and GPX route import, with Strava integration for easy activity tracking and sharing. The HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Pro further expands its outdoor capabilities with advanced golf features including Plays-like Distance and Shot Distance tracking, as well as support for freediving up to 40 metres.
The series also caters to a wider range of sports, with indoor and outdoor skiing and snowboarding tracking, including access to maps for more than 3,000 ski resorts worldwide. Cyclists can tap into Climb Planning, Climb Broadcast and Sharp Turn Alerts, while AI Workout Analysis provides post-workout insights into performance and recovery.
For racket sports, dedicated apps including Tennix for tennis, PickleX for pickleball and Goodshot for badminton provide more detailed performance data, tracking metrics such as smash speed, swing frequency and longest rally to help users better understand their performance over time.

Built to keep up from busy weekdays to active weekends, the HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Series features Huawei’s high-silicon stacked battery technology, with the HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Pro and HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 46mm offering up to 21 days of battery life under light-use conditions, while the 41mm version delivers up to 14 days. The series also retains useful everyday convenience with Touch ’n Go QR Payment and compatibility with both Android and iOS, helping users stay connected and spend less time worrying about charging.
Pricing and Availability
The HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 is now available for sale at RM1,199, while the HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Pro is available at RM1,499.
