  • Redefining Southeast Asia’s classic and collector car market through a highly transparent, data-driven marketplace and ecosystem.
  • Drive home the vehicle of your dreams and discover personalised wealth solutions and curated lifestyle experiences with AFFIN.

KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysia will host the first-ever Heritage Motor Exchange Asia from 23 to 25 October 2026 at Merdeka Hall, World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTC KL), showcasing up to 50 classic cars and bringing together collectors, automotive enthusiasts and industry stakeholders from across the region.

Presented by AFFIN Group (“AFFIN” or “the Group), the event is themed “When Passion Meets Acquisition” and positioned as the “High-Octane October Sale”, introducing a data-driven marketplace designed to bring greater transparency and confidence to the classic and collector-car market.

Moving beyond the traditional motor show format, Heritage Motor Exchange Asia will introduce a 100-Point Concours Judging System to evaluate vehicles based on their physical condition and component authenticity. Assessments will be conducted by a panel of experienced, independent judges, in collaboration with industry partners from Europe, with final scores mapped against historical market transaction data to establish certified fair-trade value ranges.

The event will feature six categories spanning the evolution of automotive design: Vintage, Classic, Modern Classic, Contemporary Exotic, Luxury and Performance collector cars.

Held in conjunction with WTC KL’s 40th anniversary, the event will feature five distinct elements:

  • Concours de Vente – A curated showcase of hand-selected collector vehicles undergoing live judging to establish their certified condition and market price ranges.
  • Concours d’Elegance – A celebration of automotive artistry, historical accuracy and restoration excellence, recognising collector vehicles for their craftsmanship and heritage.
  • Private Consignment Paddock – A premium commercial marketplace where collectors can trade verified vehicles on consignment with greater transparency.
  • Back From the Future – Bringing artificial intelligence into the collector-car experience, this segment will feature Mornine of AiMOGA an intelligent humanoid robot, serving as one of the on-site vehicle presenters.
  • Historic Motorsport – Icons are Forever – a display of iconic race and rally cars dating to as far back as the 70s.

Every participating vehicle will receive an official Valuation Certificate following a rigorous grading process, while selected concours vehicles offered for sale will display their calculated price ranges on their windscreens, providing buyers with an objective reference for negotiations.

Elevating the private banking experience

As Presenting Partner, AFFIN Group’s involvement reflects its focus on building meaningful relationships with high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs and business owners. Through AFFIN DIVENTIUM Private Banking, an award-winning segment, the Group offers a bespoke wealth management experience, bringing together personalised financial solutions, investment expertise and capabilities, complemented by exclusive lifestyle privileges tailored to clients’ individual interests and aspirations. Adding to its list of accolades, AFFIN DIVENTIUM Private Banking was recently awarded the Outstanding Private Bank Asia Pacific at the Private Banker International Global Wealth Awards 2026.

Datuk Wan Razly Abdullah, President & Group Chief Executive Officer of AFFIN Group, said: “Heritage Motor Exchange Asia is an exciting addition to Malaysia’s collector-car scene, and we are pleased to be part of its inaugural edition. For many collectors, a classic car represents years of passion, an appreciation for craftsmanship and a legacy to pass on to future generations. At AFFIN, we understand that our clients’ interests extend beyond their financial portfolios. By drawing on expertise across the Group, we aim to support their financial ambitions while creating opportunities to pursue the things that matter most to them.”

The programme will be complemented by the presence of the Road Transport Department (JPJ) and PUSPAKOM, supporting financing assessments, vehicle roadworthiness inspections, ownership transfers, road tax issuance and insurance. Financing approvals will be subject to applicable eligibility requirements and assessments.

Adding to the event’s heritage credentials, Cycle & Carriage joins as the Anchor Heritage Partner, commemorating its 75-year association with Mercedes-Benz in Malaysia and Singapore. Its history, dating back to the introduction of the three-pointed star marque to then Malaya and Singapore, will be showcased at the event.

Curated by Andrew Suresh, who has 30 years of experience in the heritage-car sector, the three-day event organized by the Collectors’ Consortium, will bring together regional collectors, high-net-worth investors and automotive enthusiasts. Visitors can also attend educational sessions on vehicle inspections and how component defects affect market valuations.

“Southeast Asia’s collector-car market has long faced challenges around pricing transparency and access to reliable vehicle data. By combining a rigorous 100-point vehicle assessment with historical market transaction data, we aim to establish a clear and credible benchmark for valuation. This approach will help buyers make informed purchasing decisions, provide sellers with a transparent basis for pricing, and elevate trust and appreciation for collector cars across Asia,” said Andrew Suresh, Curator of Heritage Motor Exchange Asia.

The show opens on Friday, 23 October 2026, with an exclusive preview for collectors and the media from 10.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m., followed by public admission until 10.00 p.m. Opening hours on Saturday and Sunday, 24 and 25 October, are from 10.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m. Tickets are priced at RM23 for adults, RM16 for students, RM13 for senior citizens and persons with disabilities, and RM66 for groups of three.
