Pavilion Bukit Jalil witnessed the inauguration of 3rd Malaysia International Durian & Cultural Fest 2023 – stated The largest Durian Buffet and Cultural Festival. This grand durian buffet and cultural festival, held at Piazza Pavilion outdoors, was opened by Dato Dr. Ammar abd Ghapar, the Director General of Tourism Malaysia. He was joined by Brand Event Ambassador Dato Aaron Aziz, Amber Chia, and Chan Fong. The event was a joint effort by Malaysian companies DKing and LKE Musang Queen. Aim of this event is to promote Malaysian durian and culture globally.
The welcome speech by Mr Leron Yee, Founder of DKing & Founder & Organizer of Malaysia International Durian & Cultural Fest 2023, begin his speech by thank you the Guest of Honor and all collaboration partners to making this event a successful one despite a hiccup of the postponement due to the unforseen black spot illness affect the durian this June 2023. Today, it show the number of sponsors and partners making the worth of goodies bag from RM250 to RM600 for every people who purchase RM68 entrance fee for all you can eat quality durian (no kampung durian) offering D101, D24, Red Prawn, Butter King and high quality Musang King is sold individual pack of 300gram for special RM45 during this event. Not missing every slot of durian buffet, there will be lucky draws giving away to customers. While customers enjoy the durian buffet, they can enjoy local artiste performance as well customers can sing to win Musang King every hour.
This year the event is successful attract over 3,000 local and 600 international durian lovers coming for the durian buffet and 1,200 joined durian fun run. This event is not about just eating durian but having healthy activities like Durian Fun Run and this Sunday, there is Family activities like kid talents and catwalk organized by MoveKids and few academy in promoting family bonding and culture future Malaysia talents. Not only that, strategic partner Melife leaded by Datin Seri Jekkie Chin in breaking new Malaysia Book of Records as well raise fund for charity is indeed a good activities to has along just eating durian. Tourism Malaysia hope this kind of positive event and activities will be continue every year.
The event will culminate on 10th September 2023 at 8pm. A closing ceremony will be officiated by Y.M Tengku Dato Dr. Hishammuddin Zaizi bin Y.A.M. Tengku Bendahara Azman Shah Alhaj of the Royal Selangor Family. They will witness the breaking of TWO Malaysian Book of Records on the final day.
