Watsons Malaysia Celebrates its 30th Anniversary by Launching its First-Ever Branded AirAsia Airplane

KUALA LUMPUR, 5 JULY 2024 – This year, Watsons Malaysia will commemorate three decades in Malaysia’s health and beauty retail industry. To celebrate this significant achievement, Watsons announced the unveiling of something BIG and a groundbreaking initiative that promises to transform the retail landscape in Malaysia.

As an industry pioneer and in celebration of this milestone, Watsons Malaysia is proud to be the first-ever retailer to launch and reveal its Watsons-branded airplane, in collaboration with AirAsia that have been also voted as the World’s Best Low-Cost Airline recently at the Skytrax World Airline Awards 2024 for the 15th consecutive year. This initiative brings the essence of wellness and beauty to the skies, launching Watsons’ first livery, in-flight branding, in-flight shopping and in-flight engagement altogether. This groundbreaking effort underscores Watsons commitment to innovation and customer engagement, setting a new standard for the retail sector.

The Watsons-branded airplane livery features Unik the cat, Watsons Malaysia’s mascot, prominently featuring the Watsons Club Member card, and O+O (Offline & Online) messaging. It also highlights the convenience of shopping O+O, emphasizing that customers can now shop via the Watsons App or website and enjoy Express Delivery, ensuring their products are delivered to their doorstep in less than 2 hours.

On top of that, the in-flight branding highlights key product features, including travel and health essentials, beauty products for on-the-go use, exclusive brands, and Watsons Brand, recognized as Asia’s No. 1 Own Brand*. Passengers can view these offerings while on board and easily scan QR codes. Upon landing, they can purchase items and have them delivered to their doorstep via express delivery or click and collect at any preferred store.
