The official launch of Lotus Cars Malaysia’s first Flagship Store in Kuala Lumpur today at Glenmarie Shah Alam and Grand launching of highly-anticipated and fully-electric Emeya Hyper-GT (Grand Tourer) all together happenings at same Flagship store
The Flagship Store, with an overall floor space of 1,765 sq ft, of which 987 sq ft is exclusively devoted to the main showroom, represents an important milestone for the brand as it sets out to extend its sales network in Malaysia and will complement the Lotus Store at Pavilion Damansara Heights which was opened in February this year.
Lotus Kuala Lumpur houses two bespoke customer delivery bays, a well-appointed lounge for customers, a dedicated merchandising area and a special configurator room enabling customers to personalize and accessorize every aspect of their Lotus from exterior and interior preferences to the choice of ultra high performance components and additional safety equipment. This includes opting for the Lotus Dynamic Handling Pack with 4-wheel steer capabilities, and additional Driving Aid features such as the Parking Pack and Highway Assist Pack.
The crown jewel in Lotus Kuala Lumpur, the Emeya, is the brand’s very first electric and four-door Hyper-GT, engineered and built from the ground-up to become a true driver’s car. It draws on 75 years of the company’s rich and decorated heritage in motorsports, and its formidable reputation in the pursuit of cutting-edge innovation to impart pure driving enjoyment in its vehicles.
A recipient of the globally-recognized Red Dot Awards in product design, the Emeya is available in three distinct variants – the Emeya, Emeya S and Emeya R.

DRIVING DYNAMICS
Equipped with a full-time all-wheel drive with Lotus ICC intelligent torque distribution, the Emeya redefines the already spirited personality of a Lotus and spearheads new standards in the GT segment for ride and handling enjoyment and excellence. An electronically controlled air suspension system empowers the Emeya to ‘feel’ the road 1,000 times a second ensuring a more confident, controlled, empowered and comfortable drive.
Performance is driven by a high-powered dual-motor configuration and an advanced single-speed transmission (dual speed for the Emeya R) that works in tandem with race-grade braking system to deliver an exhilarating experience truly made ‘For The Drivers’. The Emeya is rated between 603 hp and 905 hp with 710 Nm to 985 Nm of torque capable of delivering a top speed of more than 250km/h and can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 4.2 seconds (under 2.78 seconds for the Emeya R), placing it in the exclusive realm of being amongst the fastest electric GTs in the world.
Maximum performance is also harnessed with employing a host of advanced active and innovative aerodynamic features to firmly establish class-leading levels of downforce, underlining signature traits that have propelled Lotus to successive race victories on circuits around the world. The design and features, combined with a low centre of gravity, gives the Emeya what is defined as a ‘hyperstance’ for outstanding overall stability and setting new benchmarks in the GT segment for ride and handling.
Aerodynamics include the use of an active front grille – first seen on the Eletre Hyper-SUV – which reduces drag, increases the car’s efficiency (when closed) and cools the batteries and the braking system (when opened). An active air dam increases downforce at high speeds, and combined with an active motorsports-inspired rear diffuser that is central to smoothening airflow beneath the car for aerodynamic efficiency, gives the Emeya exceptional levels of grip, handling and stability.
The Emeya is also equipped with an industry-leading dual-layer active rear spoiler that offers a net downforce of more than 215kg for unparalleled stability and handling at higher speeds. Overall, eight vents are built into the Emeya which ensures smooth air flow, optimizes aerodynamic efficiency and improves performance and range while also cooling the brakes, motors and batteries.
ULTRAFAST CHARGING
The Emeya has a maximum WLTP driving of 610km depending on the variant. Connected to a rapid 350kW DC charger, the Emeya can effectively extend its range by 150 km with just a five-minute charge. It has the capability to boost its range from 10% to 80% on an 18-minute charge.
ADVANCED DRIVER-AID TECHNOLOGY
Fully-equipped with intelligent and advanced technology features that aid in a safer and compelling drive, the Emeya gives drivers all the necessary tools to maximize the thrills of driving a Lotus. This includes real-time road information with navigation and a full suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) data that displays turn signals, obstacle warnings, lane departure, forward collision alerts and blind-spot monitoring. Drivers also have the ability to quickly access crucial information using an industry leading 55-inch projected augmented reality (AR) head-up display (HUD) for seamless connectivity.
HYPER REALISTIC SOUND
Design of the Emeya consciously emphasized on reducing Lotus’ carbon footprint, and this is achieved with the clever choice of sustainable and durable materials such as new luxury thread made from repurposed fibres from the fashion industry, PVD aluminium, Alcantara, Nappa leather, and Ultrafabrics PU – all of which are also sustainably sourced. This is personified with many luxury materials and tactile surfaces. The combination of these materials for the cabin upholstery also results in weight-saving benefits.
As a Lotus should be, the interior is minimalist but provides the driver with an intelligent cockpit and intuitive infotainment system. Entertainment is centered on the critically acclaimed in-car audio system from world-renowned Lotus partner KEF. The Emeya is appointed with KEF’s award-winning Uni-Q™ speaker design and Uni-Core™ space-saving subwoofer enclosure, plus Dolby Atmos enabled 3D surround sound system for a truly immersive soundscape and experience.
The Emeya is also integrated with Road Noise Cancellation (RNC) that seals the interior experience from being interrupted by the outside world. Vibration sensors installed on the vehicle body detect motion in the tyres and suspension, with algorithms generating anti-phase acoustic signals through the speakers to counteract any interference. This results in a high-fidelity state-of-the-art audio experience.

Also introduced, was the all-new Emira Turbo mid-engined premium sports car that has been developed on a new lightweight bonded aluminium chassis – technology pioneered by Lotus and which remains an intrinsic part of the company’s sports car DNA. That Emira Turbo architecture is wrapped with a bold and sculpted design with cues clearly developed from the Evija. Powered by a state-of-the-art, 360 hp (365 PS) mid-mounted engine, the Emira is the most powerful four-cylinder Lotus sports car of all time. It is mated to an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) providing rapid and seamless shifts and is capable of 0-100km/h in 4.4 seconds with a maximum speed of 290km/h. The Emira Turbo is priced at RM509,000 (excluding import duties, insurance and road tax).
In addition, Lotus Cars Malaysia displayed the Eletre – a new variant that is below the Eletre S and Eletre R – that prices the all-electric hyper sports utility vehicle (SUV) from an attractive entry price of RM598,800. The introduction of the new Eletre variant broadens the prospect of ownership to buyers who are entertaining the transition to an all-electric hyper SUV at a more decisive price point yet at the same time, still enabling them to customize and spec-up their vehicles should they desire to do so. The Eletre is powered by a single-speed system capable of delivering 603 hp and 710 Nm of torque with 0-100 km/h performance of 4.5 seconds. It is also capable of achieving top speeds of 258 km/h and has a maximum WLTP driving range of 600 km.
