Celebrating 20 Years of Music with a Brand-New Theme
Kuala Lumpur – Hong Kong’s celebrated songstress Kay Tse will officially kick off her much-anticipated “TIDAL” World Tour 2025 live in Malaysia. Organized by Jazzy Group (爵士娛樂) and Pulse Recreation & Cultural Management Limited (博朗康樂文化管理有限公司), with artiste management by Light White Studio Ltd (淺白本部), the concert will be held on 13 December 2025 at Idea Live Arena, Petaling Jaya. This will not only mark Kay’s very first solo concert in Malaysia, but also an important milestone celebrating her 20th anniversary in the music industry, making the event especially meaningful for both the artiste and her fans.
The “TIDAL” Concept
“TIDAL” draws inspiration from the ebb and flow of the tides, symbolizing the rhythm of life and music. The imagery of waves and lighthouses will be intricately woven into the stage design, music arrangements, and storytelling. To Kay, the lighthouse represents a steadfast light that guides voyagers, just as her music has accompanied fans with tenderness and resilience through different stages of life.
Interestingly, the word “Tidal” is a homonym of the Cantonese word for “Attitude” (態度), symbolizing Kay’s perseverance in both music and life, celebrating with fans during the highs, while standing by each other during the lows.
Kay says: “I believe the value of music is not about who comes first or last, but about moving forward together, finding our place in the vast ocean.”
Marking Two Decades of Music
Since releasing her debut album《Kay One》in 2005, Kay has moved audiences with her heartfelt performances. In 2008, she captivated a generation with her iconic hit Wedding Invitation Street 《囍帖街》. The song quickly became a timeless classic in the Chinese music scene, sweeping annual music awards across Hong Kong’s four major electronic media platforms and earning more than 28 accolades in total, setting the record as the most-awarded Cantonese song in history. This extraordinary achievement not only cemented her place in the music industry but also established her as one of the most influential female singers of that era.
Over the years, Kay has continually pushed her artistic boundaries, embracing diverse musical styles and carving her own unique path with determination and individuality, ultimately becoming one of the most distinctive icons in the Chinese pop music scene.
