Kuala Lumpur, 27 June 2026 — Iconic diecast miniature car brand TOMICA has officially launched Southeast Asia’s 1st permanent TOMICA FACTORY at the TOMICA BRAND STORE, Kuala Lumpur.

Located in Toys“R”Us Suria KLCC, this marks a major milestone for TOMICA collectors and fans across Southeast Asia. This development follows the successful debut of Southeast Asia’s 1st TOMICA BRAND STORE at Suria KLCC in December 2025. The launch of TOMICA FACTORY represents the next phase of the brand’s experiential retail evolution, value adding its unique appeal as an interactive destination for families, tourists and collectors.

Unlike a traditional retail concept, the TOMICA FACTORY offers a fully immersive and hands-on experience where visitors can build and customise their own TOMICA diecast miniature cars on-site.

Customers select car components such as chassis, body, windshield and seat, then participate in the assembly process. They get to watch their personalised TOMICA car come to life through a specially designed factory experience.

The attraction features a dedicated Assembly Machine as the core interactive element, alongside a staff-operated Work Desk where visitors are assisted through the customisation process. The space also includes a Test-Run Stage where newly assembled miniature cars can be tested immediately after completion, creating an engaging end-to-end experience for guests of all ages.

Specially designed walls, decorative 3D displays and factory-themed installations further recreate the excitement of a miniature automotive production line within the TOMICA BRAND STORE.

During the launch event, three children – Tristan Kai Ong, aged 6;  Tengku Melur Alynna Ameera Binti Tengku Mohd Hafiz Izzat, aged 6; and Sakthyadave Gunaseelan, aged 5 – were invited to immerse in the TOMICA FACTORY experience firsthand. The children showcased how interactive the process is by selecting their preferred components before getting TOMICA’s expert staff to assemble their own exclusive customised TOMICA creations at the factory. Their participation highlighted the creativity, fun and personalisation that define the uniqueness of the TOMICA FACTORY experience.

Located within the TOMICA BRAND STORE at Toys“R”Us Suria KLCC, the attraction is expected to become a major draw for both local and international visitors.

The launch also underscores the long-standing partnership between TOMICA and Litt Tak, the official distributor of TOMICA products in Malaysia, which has played a pivotal role in expanding the brand’s presence among local collectors and hobbyists over the last 41 years.

A highly anticipated TOMICA BRAND STORE original product alongside an official TOMICA SHOP original will make their official debut in Southeast Asia on 27 June, available for purchase solely at the TOMICA BRAND STORE Kuala Lumpur.

Since its introduction in 1970, TOMICA has become one of Japan’s most beloved diecast miniature car brands, renowned globally for its quality craftsmanship, attention to detail and wide range of collectible miniature cars.

The TOMICA BRAND STORE Kuala Lumpur is the official shop where visitors can immerse themselves in the world of TOMICA. The store’s exterior is designed to resemble a large TOMICA box. Inside, the centrepiece is the Wheel Table, a display made of stacked wheels. The store also features the TOMICA WALL, which displays over 2,000 TOMICA diecast miniature cars; the TOMICA KIDULTS AREA for adults with a playful spirit; the Recommended Corner for new releases; and a TOMICA HISTORY AREA to exhibit the brand’s heritage.
