Over 170 Taiwanese firms participating in Taiwan Expo 2023 in KLCC

KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 24): Taiwan Expo 2023, which serves as an integrated platform for the global marketing of Taiwanese products, saw a total of 170 Taiwanese companies participating with over 220 booths.

With its theme “Together, Reach New Heights”, the expo was organised by the Bureau of Foreign Trade and the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (Taitra) and commenced on Thursday (Aug 24) until Aug 26 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre KLCC. 

Taiwan Expo has been held continuously for seven years in Malaysia, and this year, the expo returns to physical after the Covid-19 pandemic since the last physical exposition in 2019.

During the ceremony, TAITRA Chairman James Huang engaged in a heartfelt discussion about mountain climbing experiences with Malaysian avid hiker Sasa, currently residing in Taiwan. This discussion highlighted the strong and long-term commitment in Taiwan-Malaysia cooperation post-pandemic. Under the theme “Together, Reach New Heights,”.

“Since 2017, the year of our first show in Malaysia, Taiwan Expo has never missed a year to connect the peoples of our two countries. Even during the covid lockdown, we stayed connected online. Malaysia is not only one of Taiwan’s closest friends in the world but also a major economic partner. As envisioned by the New Southbound Policy, our cooperation and exchange continued to thrive.” said James Huang, TAITRA Chairman.
