- VitaHealth and Tropicana hosted a 16-hour mental wellness event that successfully attracted 300 participants, including 22 children from two homes at the record-breaking Offline 16 event.
- This Malaysia’s longest Offline 16 event is aligned with VitaHealth and Tropicana’s collective ESG commitments to the community, paying homage to World Mental Health Day by the World Health Organization.
- Promoting a healthy mind for a healthy life, the event was held from 8 am to 12 midnight on 17 August 2024, fostering face-to-face interactions through engaging and fun activities without the use of mobile devices or screen time.
Petaling Jaya (19 August 2024) – VitaHealth Malaysia (“VitaHealth”), an Australian-owned healthcare company and Tropicana Corporation Berhad (“Tropicana”) successfully hosted Malaysia’s longest Offline 16 mental wellness event and received an overwhelming response attracting 300 participants. Held on 17 August 2024 at the newly refurbished and exclusive Grand Ballroom of Tropicana Golf & Country Resort, the event started at 8 am and ended at midnight, challenging all participants to “disconnect in order to reconnect”.
Hosted by famous TV personality – Emerson Sean, this highly engaging event fostered entertaining face-to-face interactions with the participants, without the use of mobile devices for 16 consecutive hours. All participants were regaled with a series of exciting activities such as fitness challenges, a therapy sanctuary, a stand-up comedy performance by Douglas Lim, badminton with Malaysia’s Olympian, Champion and VitaHealth’s ambassador – Pearly Tan, a sharing session with Malaysian Mental Health Association (“MMHA”) and more. The day culminated with VitaHealth and Tropicana receiving a Malaysia Book of Records award for “Most Accumulated Offline Hours in a Day”.
In line with VitaHealth and Tropicana’s ESG commitments, this first-of-its-kind event paid homage to World Mental Health Day by the World Health Organization, promoting a healthy mind for a healthy life. Among the 300-strong crowd were invited children from orphanage homes, aged between 13 and 17. The children from Praise Emmanuel Home and Rumah Charis enjoyed the MMHA sharing, treated to various wellness activities as well as delectable food packs throughout the day.
