KUALA LUMPUR, 26 July 2023 – MyTOWN Shopping Centre (MyTOWNKL) recently launched their first KLEAN’s reverse vending machine as part of its continuous efforts to promote sustainability at its Sustainability Corner, Basement 1. The aim for this project is to encourage shoppers to recycle house waste and be rewarded.
The reverse vending machine operates on a simple and user-friendly system. In return, reward points will be credited to their KLEAN App based on the recyclables and it can be used to redeem attractive vouchers or discounts.

An approximate of 7 tonnes used clothes and household items were collected to support these communities. In addition, MyTOWNKL further support the effort in achieving an average of 39% recycle contribution by replacing all light bulbs within the Centre with energy-efficient LED lights, using sustainable construction materials, and batteries recycling.
