The Miss Universe Malaysia Organization (Mumo) has unveiled the Top 16 finalists of Miss Universe Malaysia 2025 at a press conference held at Holiday Inn Bangsar on July 31.
Miss Universe Malaysia 2025 national director Charissa Chong said this year’s finalists reflect the evolving face of Malaysian womanhood, blending beauty, poise, culture, ambition and united by their passion to represent Malaysia on the world stage.
“My goal is to ignite the potential within every Malaysian woman. With our 2025 tagline ‘Redefining Your Journey,’ we are creating a space where each finalist feels empowered to embrace her identity, celebrate our diversity, and pursue her dreams without limits.
“True beauty is about confidence, resilience, and authenticity.
“This year, I am focused on helping our finalists find their voice, grow their influence, and inspire meaningful change on stage and beyond,” she said.
The finalists are Bhadrani Nagendran, Chloe Chin, Chloe Lim, Elaine Cheah, Elina Cheah, Jen Li, Joey Leng, Kavita Sanglish, Keerthanaah Parthipan, Malveen Kaur, Priscilla Yap, Priyaa Simmi, Priyanka Sockanathan, Ranmeet Jassal, Tan Su Jie and Valenice Tiong.
Twenty-six contestants were shortlisted from over hundreds of applications received nationwide, following a closed-door and online audition held in June.
The final list of contestants was selected through a 50:50 voting mechanism; 50% from the judging panel and 50% from public voting.
This year saw a rise in both diversity and calibre, reflecting the impact of the inclusive eligibility criteria introduced last year, including those who are married, divorced, mothers and of any age.
The finalists will undergo personal and professional development through curated activities, events and mentoring during pageant week.
The journey culminates at the grand finale gala night, where the newly crowned Miss Universe Malaysia 2025 will go on to represent the country at the 74th Miss Universe pageant in Thailand on November 21, 2025.
